Principal's Message
Welcome Back Roadrunner Families!
On behalf of the Lynwood Unified School District and the faculty of Abbott Elementary, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the 2022- 2023 academic school year. My name is Kevin Cano and am honored to serve as your Principal.
We are so excited to Welcome Back our Roadrunners!
Here are a couple of important reminders for our first day back:
In-person instruction begins on Wednesday, August 17th at 8:45 a.m. This is a regular day with dismissal at 3 p.m. Early dismissal on Wednesdays begins on August 24, 2023, @ 2 p.m.
Our cafeteria will open at 8 am with breakfast served until 8:30 am.
Dismissal for grades Kindergarten and Third -Sixth will exit on Wright Road and Pelleur Street at 3 p.m.
Dismissal for First and Second grades will be in front of the school on Clark Street @ 3 pm
Dismissal for our Transitional Kindergarten students will be at 2 p.m. and will exit on Clark and Peller. On Wednesday dismissal will be at 1 pm. This schedule is for the first month.
Parents will not be allowed on Campus.
Back to School Night is August 31st from 5-6:30 pm

Our student's physical and mental health is as important as their academics.
Please know that we here at Abbott Elementary are here for you. We have numerous partnerships with outside agencies that focus on everything from mental health to primary care. Please let us know how we can serve you!
